What is High Pressure Water Jetting?
High pressure water jetting (also called hydro jetting or drain jetting) uses powerful streams of high-pressure water to clear blockages, clean pipes, and remove buildup from the inside of drain pipes.
How It Works
A specialised hose with a high-pressure nozzle is inserted into the drain. Water is pumped through the hose at pressures up to 5000 PSI, creating a powerful jet that cuts through blockages and scrubs the pipe walls clean.
What It Can Clear
- Grease and fat buildup
- Tree roots
- Soap scum and hair
- Sediment and debris
- Scale and mineral deposits
- Foreign objects
Advantages Over Traditional Methods
| Traditional Methods | High Pressure Water Jetting |
|---|---|
| May only punch a hole through blockage | Completely clears and cleans the pipe |
| Can damage older pipes | Safe for most pipe types |
| May push blockage further down | Flushes blockage completely away |
| Chemicals can harm environment | Environmentally friendly - just water |
When to Use Water Jetting
- Severe or recurring blockages
- Grease buildup in commercial kitchens
- Tree root removal
- Pre-repair pipe cleaning
- Preventive maintenance
Is It Safe for My Pipes?
Yes, when done by professionals. Our technicians assess the pipe condition with a CCTV camera first to ensure the pipe can withstand the pressure. We adjust the pressure and nozzle type based on the pipe material and condition.
