A water jetter uses rear-facing jets to propel the hose forward while blasting the pipe walls clean. Different nozzles suit different jobs: penetrating heads for punching through blockages, root-cutting heads for fibrous intrusions, and flushing heads for washing silt back to an access point.
Unlike an electric eel, jetting cleans the full circumference of the pipe rather than just boring a hole through the blockage — which is why it is usually paired with a CCTV inspection to confirm the result.
